“Even in literature and art, no man who bothers about originality will ever be original: whereas if you simply try to tell the truth (without caring twopence how often it has been told before) you will, nine times out of ten, become original without ever having noticed it.”

- C.S. Lewis, Mere Christianity

I first began making movies around the age of 10, when I got my hands on my parents’ Sony Handycam Hi8 camcorder. In those early years I filmed family trips, documented life around my neighborhood, and learned the basics of visual storytelling by doing. By my mid-teens, my love of cinema pushed me toward narrative projects—making short films with friends and family for fun, school, and any excuse to create. By high school I knew I wanted to build a career in the entertainment and media world, focused on being the storyteller behind the camera.

After graduating, I moved from the Charlotte, North Carolina area to Los Angeles and enrolled at The Los Angeles Film School. While attending LAFS, I majored in Directing and minored in Cinematography, with electives in Screenwriting and Production Design, and graduated with an Honors Degree in Film. That foundation gave me both technical range and a director’s mindset, and how to plan creatively, collaborate well, and execute under pressure.

Since then, my career has taken me across a wide range of projects and environments; from sets and crews to building out post-production pipelines, and media management structures. I’ve worked on television and feature projects including Homeland (Season 3), Paper Towns, The Disappointments Room, and Teachers (“Saving Westbrook High”), while continuing to develop as a director through my own short films, corporate work, and commercial productions. Over time, I’ve become especially strong in the practical side of delivering finished work; planning, problem solving, and building momentum from concept through final deliverable.

In recent years, I’ve expanded significantly in post-production and finishing, including video editing, motion graphics, visual effects, and modern AI-assisted workflows. That growth has made me a more complete filmmaker: I can think like a director while also executing like a post specialist; shaping story, pacing, clarity, and polish at the edit and finishing level. I enjoy the craft of building clean, compelling work that holds attention and communicates clearly.

Professionally, I’ve had the opportunity to work in high-output, deadline-driven environments while contributing to content and post workflows with organizations such as MrBeast and PragerU. I’ve also directed commercials and product videos for brands including Lowe’s Kobalt, Hart, Ryobi, and Greenworks Tools, creating content designed to highlight products clearly while staying visually engaging and on-brand.

At the core of my work is a straightforward aim: tell the truth well, make strong creative choices, and deliver reliably. I’m comfortable collaborating with teams, owning a project end-to-end when needed, and adapting quickly when plans change.

On a personal note, I’m a man of faith in Christ Jesus. My faith shapes my character, how I treat people, and the integrity I bring to my work.
